Falutin Films (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates a ticketing and screening platform for members of our film society. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.

- Falutes wallet activity: your balance, grants, purchases, bids, rebates, and transaction history within our internal points system (“falutes”).
- Ticket and attendance data: which screenings you’ve booked, bid on, or attended, and door-scan records.
- Technical data: basic usage logs necessary to operate and secure the platform.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and wallet.
- To process ticket purchases, auction bids, and rebates.
- To send you transactional emails (welcome messages, ticket confirmations, wallet activity, auction results, admin-issued grants).
- To operate door check-in at screenings.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the platform.
Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers to operate the platform, including:
- Supabase (database and authentication, including Google sign-in)
- Resend (transactional email delivery)
- Sanity (screening/event content management)
- M-Pesa/Safaricom Daraja (when payment top-ups are enabled)
These providers process data only as needed to provide their service to us and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Data Retention
We retain your account and transaction history for as long as your account is active, and as needed to maintain accurate financial and attendance records.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email below. Note that falutes and transaction history tied to an account may need to be retained for accounting integrity even if you request account closure.
Children’s Privacy
Falutin Films is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password for your account.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
